Giving kids what they really need
What are you giving you kids for their future?
As of last Friday the national debt stood (rather heavily) at an average of $28,671.65 for each and every American citizen. It's a bit higher now since the total has been increasing by around $2.36 Billion per day since the end of September. In 2005 the US had a merchandise trade deficit of $782 Billion which comes out to around $2,607 for each one of us. However you interpret these figures, it seems to me that we are giving our kids a crippling financial burden for their future along with a consumerism mentality that wars against the discipline needed to make changes necessary to turn such numbers around.
